Dear Member,
We have been requested by CFR to ask members who might have made firearms inoperable when they handed them in under amnesty (i.e., taking out firing pins or bolt actions), to please take such parts to their DFO.
If the IBIS testing of such a firearm handed in under amnesty for a new licence application cannot be completed the application cannot be finally evaluated.
We suggest that members who’s amnesty applications might be held up because of this, to rather take such parts to their DFO so that the specific firearm(s) can be IBIS tested and the licence application(s) evaluated.
Kind Regards
Natshoot Office
